Loughborough has an approximate population of 59,317 people and is the second largest town in Leicestershire, twinned with Epinal, France; Gembloux, Belgium; Schwabisch Hall, Germany; Zamosc, Poland; and Bhavnagar, India. The town benefits from a large outdoor market held twice a week, one of the best UK universities, specialising in sport and business, great primary and secondary schools, including Loughborough Endowed Schools, several churches and supermarkets, an extensive library, and is also home to the world’s largest bell foundry, John Taylor Bellfounders. Loughborough is also home to the Great Central Railway station, which is the UK's only double track, main line heritage railway.
